描述: [1400.0] PA/intercom announced "Main engine failure drill — all crew to emergency stations". OOW reported simulated ME auto shutdown to Master who immediately proceeded to bridge. Master assumed overall command and exercised good seamanship to keep ship stable.
[1401.0] NUC signals displayed: two black balls hoisted vertically during daylight (simulation) — two all-round red lights switched on. VHF Ch.16 broadcast "All ships, all ships — MV LXH, position XX°XX'N XXX°XX'E, main engine failure, not under command, keep clear". AIS status updated.
[1402.0] Chief Officer and Bosun proceeded to bow and prepared both anchors for immediate letting go. Anchor windlass powered and tested, stoppers removed, lashings released. Chain locker access checked. Reported to Master "Both anchors ready on the bow".
[1403.0] Chief Engineer proceeded to engine room as on-scene commander for ME failure. All engine department crew mustered at engine control room. Bridge-Mechanical control room communication established on direct telephone. Second Engineer commenced troubleshooting .
[1405.0] Drift prediction calculated on bridge: taking into account wind direction NE force 4, current 1.5 knots setting SE, ship predicted to drift towards shallow water in 45 minutes. Emergency power supply directed to steering gear to maintain directional control using residual speed.
[1407.0] Engine Room troubleshooting (I): Main switchboard inspected — overload trip identified. Non-essential equipment switches turned off to reduce load. Power supply to navigation and communication equipment prioritised. Total blackout simulated — emergency generator auto-started and came online within 45 seconds.
[1409.0] Engine Room troubleshooting (II): Standby generator started and synchronised to emergency switchboard. Main switchboard load redistributed. Essential services restored: steering gear, navigation equipment, fire pump, and GMDSS confirmed powered.
[1411.0] Engine Room troubleshooting (III): Sea water pumps, fresh water pumps, fuel oil booster pumps for auxiliary engines started. Cooling water confirmed circulating to all auxiliary engines. Fuel oil pressure restored to service header.
[1414.0] Engine Room troubleshooting (IV): All oil and water pumps serving ME restarted — LO pump, jacket water pump, camshaft LO pump, fuel oil supply pump. ME control air system re-pressurised to 30 bar. Safety and alarm systems re-initialised.
[1417.0] ME starting sequence initiated: pre-lubrication pump run for 2 minutes, indicator cocks opened and engine turned on turning gear for 3 revolutions, no obstructions detected. Turning gear disengaged, interlock confirmed. Air start at 30 bar — ME started and ran at dead slow ahead.
[1421.0] ME parameters monitored for 5 minutes at dead slow: exhaust temperatures balanced across all cylinders, cooling water temperatures normal, LO pressure 4.2 bar, fuel oil pressure 8 bar, turbocharger RPM 8500 — all within normal range. No abnormal vibrations or sounds.
[1424.0] Bridge informed via telephone: ME running normally at dead slow, ready to increase speed. Master ordered slow ahead → half ahead → full ahead in stages. Each speed increment held for 10 minutes to verify engine response (Simulation). All readings stable at full ahead.
[1427.0] NUC signals lowered: black balls removed, all-round red lights switched off. VHF Ch.16 broadcast cancelled: "MV LXH main engine restored, resuming normal passage". AIS status updated to "Underway using engine". Navigation warning cancelled.
[1431.0] Anchors re-secured: lashings applied, stoppers engaged, windlass secured and isolated. Chief Officer and Bosun returned to normal duties. All crew returned to normal stations.
[1434.0] Engine room systems restored to normal running configuration: ME running at full away with all parameters stable. Auxiliary equipment restored to normal: oil separators, air compressors, refrigeration, air conditioning, fresh water generator all restarted.
[1437.0] ME failure cause investigation (simulation): engine room log reviewed — trip traced to simulated governor malfunction causing fuel rack closure. Governor inspected, linkage and actuator tested, servo oil pressure verified. System restored to automatic mode and tested at speed changes.
评估: 1444.0 All emergency equipment restored to standby: emergency generator tested and confirmed auto-start within 45 seconds, returned to standby mode. NUC signal equipment stowed. All communication logs closed. Bridge watch handover notes updated.
